Solana Breakpoint 2025: Validators and RPC on Bare Metal

Breakpoint, Solana's flagship conference, ran at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi from 11 to 13 December 2025, and velia.net was there. It is the one week of the year when the whole Solana ecosystem is in a single building.

Solana asks more of a machine than most networks do. When a validator or an RPC node shares its host, the neighbour's busy hour becomes your slow slot. We went to Abu Dhabi to talk about the machine under the node.

Networking and Innovation

A conference does what a call cannot: it puts the operator with the problem and the people with the hardware at the same table. These were the conversations we went to Abu Dhabi to have.
