Web Summit 2025: When a Startup Outgrows Its Cloud

Web Summit 2025 ran at the MEO Arena in Lisbon from 10 to 13 November 2025, and velia.net was there. It is one of Europe's big technology conferences, and a room full of founders.

A young product usually starts on a shared cloud, and that is the right place to start. The question arrives later, when the product has real users and a steady load: whether the machine under it should still be shared with customers you will never be told about. We went to Lisbon for that conversation.

Networking and Innovation

A conference does what a call cannot: it puts the team with the problem and the people with the hardware at the same table. These were the conversations we went to Lisbon to have.

  • Dedicated servers for SaaS teams with a steady base load.
  • What one physical machine with no other customer on it changes for consistency.
  • One operator across Frankfurt, Strasbourg, New York, Miami, St. Louis and Singapore.
  • Monthly terms and zero setup fee, with cancellation at the end of any month.

Key Points of our Attendance

Our focus at Web Summit stayed on four themes:

  • The worst minute matters more than the average one.
  • No hypervisor between the workload and the metal.
  • No shared tenancy, so nobody else's workload sits next to yours.
  • A named city on the contract, not a region in a console.
